Y’all know how much I love my coffee. In the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening with dessert. Popping into cafés when I travel, meeting girlfriends for a latte date, reading with a cup of joe. At this point, it’s not about the caffeine but instead about the warmth with which it feels my heart, like an old friend you’re getting to see after too long a period.
My point is, I’ve tried a lot of coffee shops – always searching for that perfect cup. So imagine how stoked I was when, upon my arrival back from my trip to Vancouver, I discovered this new café had opened nearby that coincidentally brews coffee from a Vancouver roaster, 49th Parallel (which we went to twice during our visit). The café lives outdoors (!!!), is beautifully designed, and offers delicious donuts and adorable bouquets for sale. It’s Nice Coffee, and a secret for you: the people here are actually the nicest.
Needless to say, I’ve been coming here a little too often for an afternoon almond milk latte (iced or cold, depending on the weather that day). It is so good that I could literally guzzle it down, and that’s a win in my book.

Here is an interesting interview with the owner if you’d like to check it out. And if you’re down in the financial district, make sure you stop by. The one caveat is the shop is only open Monday through Friday from 7 AM – 4PM, but I promise it’s worth the trip.
