antelope valley poppy reserve

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the best part about living in Southern California is that we are always a quick drive away from innumerable weekend destinations and landscapes. Whether it’s the beach, the mountains, the desert, or wine country, there’s no shortage of beauty around these parts. This past weekend, to celebrate the start of spring, I joined my friends Jamie and Yue on a drive out to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve, and I think I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Be still my heart. ❤

    1. Aren’t the flower fields breathtaking? Seriously, I was so giddy as we drove up to them. I had no idea they even existed until a friend told me she was planning a trip out here! And yes, they’re popping up all over Instagram but can’t complain because they are so beautiful. 🙂
