merry merry : christmas bucket list

It’s no question that the Christmas season is my absolute favorite time of year. Everything about it is magical – from the crisp mornings, the twinkle light displays, the gift giving, and general merriment – it just can’t be beat. We kicked off the season the weekend after Thanksgiving by picking out our Christmas tree, decorating the apartment, and taking a trip to Disneyland with my niece to see the park spruced up with holiday decorations. As I know the next few weeks will just fly by (as they always, sadly, do), I’ve put together a list of all the cheer I’d like to partake in by December 25th.

  • pour a mug of hot chocolate (with Bailey’s) and watch a Christmas movie
  • wrap presents by candlelight
  • take a tour of the neighborhood with coffee in hand
  • decorate Gingerbread cookies
  • build a graham cracker house
  • take Kipling’s photo with Santa
  • go ice skating
  • drink my weight in eggnog
  • bake a Christmas cookie recipe
  • watch The Groundlings holiday show
  • send Christmas cards
  • see the LA Zoo lights
  • complete a holiday craft
  • fill stockings for one another
  • do an act of service
  • sleep underneath the Christmas tree

What’s on your list this season? It really is the most wonderful time of year. ❤

P.S. Some fun DIY Christmas ornaments.

  1. Great list! I’m looking forward to Christmas baking and getting together with family. We’ve already had the Christmas tunes out for a while. My husband just released a Christmas album, and I’m excited for it to become a classic in our home! You can listen to it here: forestcreatures.bandcamp.com

    1. I’m so excited to celebrate this time of year! I waited until the day after Thanksgiving to play Christmas music, but I could hardly wait. I’ll definitely check out his album! 🙂

      1. Thanks! Yeah, we even baked Christmas cookies in October to get into the Christmas spirit while we were recording. I didn’t mind it one bit 😉
