happy weekend links

It’s FRIDAY, and I don’t know about you, but this week has felt exceptionally long. We have a busy weekend planned and a Thanksgiving potluck on Monday before we fly back to Texas for the holiday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and in the meantime, here’s what’s going on in my world and some fun things to check out around the web.

  • Nathalie Holmes from Pretty Funny Girl just launched her new podcast, where she interviews celebs from 80s and 90s cult classics and gives an inside scoop into showbiz. Her first interview is with “Polly” from Teen Witch!
  • Speaking of throwbacks, this behind the scenes footage of Disney Channel stars is everything I never knew I needed.
  • And these Obama/Biden memes are cracking me up (gotta find humor in the sadness, right?). In light of the election aftermath, we’ve also been watching this to lift our spirits.
  • On a more serious note, if you’re looking for some way to help, you can start by donating here.
  • I don’t think I’ve ever been excited about a live action remake before this one.
  • But while I wait for its release, you bet I’ll be catching Fantastic Beasts and La La Land in theaters soon. Movie season: commence!
  • Also adding this and this to my never ending list of must watch TV shows.
  • Trying to scroll less and read more. Just finished The Girls, which was so very haunting but beautifully written – a peek into the dark psychology of an adolescent girl. Now I’m lightening it up with this one. Friend me on Goodreads!
  • Just got an invite for a wedding here next year, and I am very excited about it.
  • Making this for the potluck and looking forward to baking my annual dinner rolls for Thanksgiving.
  • So happy REI is continuing with its #OptOutside campaign this Black Friday.
  • It’s also not too late to join in on the #thankfullist2016 challenge. I wrote about it here, and you can follow along with me here.
