fall wanderlust and changing the world

Just over here willing fall to come to LA. I spoke too soon in my exclamation about sweater weather, and I worry I jinxed it. Last night I was looking through my closet, staring forlornly at all the jackets and coats going unworn…then lit a “Leaves” candle (it’s really called that) and wished this fantasy true.

Seeing all the beautiful changing leaves around the world (including during my visit to Portland) is really encouraging my wanderlust, and besides a couple trips back home for the holidays, I’m going to need to start planning some destinations for next year. The events of this week have also really fueled me to take charge in my life – to not only see but help more of the world, to DO and not sit idly by. We can only do this together. A good place to start.

P.S. Reading this book last night really warmed my heart in a way I so desperately needed.

Outfit details: Alex Marie turtleneck gifted from my MIL, linen skirt from the Rose Bowl Flea, Shellys London shoes from Buffalo Exchange, Michael Kors bag gifted from my mama. Binoculars are over 100 years old and were my husband’s late grandfather’s. ❤

Looking towards the future – working, and not just hoping, for a better one.

See my usual fall style and how those New Yorkers do it.

    1. Thank you! I didn’t have anything in my closet this color, and when I saw the skirt I immediately knew I had to buy it. Found it at a flea market, so I’m glad it fit! 🙂
