city slicker

If there’s one thing I have no shortage of, it’s jackets. You might be thinking – why do I even own a jacket in Southern California? Well, truth be told, I wear a light jacket almost every day. If I’m not in AC during the daytime, the evenings never fail to get chilly. It’s actually embarrassing how many different jackets I have piled up on “my chair” at our kitchen table by week’s end. I’m not a huge jewelry person (did you know I don’t have my ears pierced?), so in come sweaters, jackets, and light coats to pump up an otherwise boring outfit, while still keeping me warm on “cold” 60 degree evenings.

The past couple of years I’ve been dreaming of owning a trench coat, but I’m not that out of touch with reality. So to compromise, I’ve been on the search for a light trench duster – specifically one of the blush variety. You can imagine my excitement when I finally came across this one from Lord & Taylor (on sale too!). It’s lightweight, oversize, and the perfect fall statement piece. I’m obsessed with the color and paired with my favorite color block gold oxfords (thrifted Stuart Weitzman!!), I’m ready for fall – whenever you are, Los Angeles.

Outfit: Target tank, thrifted Free People denim from The Closet, thrifted Stuart Weitzman oxfords from Poshmark, Lord & Taylor trench, Emma Fox foldover tote from my mama.
