Recorded exclusively on a Samsung Galaxy S5 (because we forgot the GoPro). You can read more about my birthday trip to wine country here!
The past year or so I’ve really fallen in love with making short travel videos of all of our trips – usually recorded on our GoPro. Video is something I’ve never really explored, and besides being fun to put together, these short movies create such special keepsakes of our lives. I’m so grateful for the home videos my parents recorded during my childhood, and I want to pursue this avenue of memory saving for the rest of my life as well. Don’t get me wrong, I obviously love photography, but video captures something still images can’t quite do. They’re less filtered – more real. I can actually feel someone’s laughter or love or excitement. I’m no professional, and the videos aren’t perfect – they’re just for us, and I love them wholeheartedly. Time is fleeting, and these small capsules are my best effort at preserving these special moments in life.

Super cute. I love the off the shoulder number you are wearing at the winery!
Thank you! It was a Zara find earlier this summer. Generally our little travel videos are better quality when we shoot with the GoPro, but I didn’t want to not make one from this trip just because we forgot it. ;p
