portrait photographer : my nieces

Our Christmas trip back home was a whirlwind. After arriving in Houston at noon on the 23rd, we had to almost immediately drive to Austin to visit Whitney’s grandmother and to take my younger niece back home. We did make a (literal) ten minute stop in Old Town Spring to grab some photos of my two nieces together. It was windy and cold, and neither one of them wanted to take photos, so I ran around getting what I could get. The only real control I had over them was where they should sit or stand; the rest of the posing (yes, including all the silly faces) was up to them. I wouldn’t say this is my best work, but at least I got some cute images that my mom likes (I was taking them for her); it helps when you have cute subjects to photograph. And I’m always happy to have a little photoshoot (no matter how fast and hectic), as I’ve barely pulled my DSLR out all year.
