I always have a list of running goals I want to accomplish. Some of my past bucket lists have worked better than others, but currently I have an itemized list of 25 things I want to accomplish while I’m 25. So for this new year, instead of making a list of new year resolutions, which let’s be honest, are rarely successful and often seem too daunting and overwhelming to accomplish at the start of the year, I’m going to let one
little big word lead my life this year: BOLD. If you aren’t familiar with the one little word, you can learn about it here. Instead of having to remember a list of things I need to accomplish each day, I am going to easily remember this one little word to get me by. And what do I mean by bold?
-I want to boldly invent objectives, throwing hesitation to the wayside.
-I want to boldly commit to those objectives, making strong choices without excuses.
-I want to boldly execute those commitments with self-confidence and enthusiasm.
If I want to learn something, I will learn it. If I want to do something, I will do it. If I want to be something, I will be it. No more self-doubt or anxiety or comparing myself. I choose the life I lead and how I live it. And what is a life if you don’t live it boldly?
And this year, besides on this blog, I want to journal. My thoughts, my journey, everything. Personally, writing stuff down is always tremendously helpful.
If you’re joining in, what is your one little word for 2015?
Happy New Year!
