We just got back from a week in New York City celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve only been once 8 years ago and my husband hadn’t, so a trip was due! I was hoping the city would already be lit up for Christmas, but we still had a great trip running around the city. ;p We stayed with my husband’s childhood friend, Caroline, in Brooklyn and used our Subway passes to get around. A lot of walking, a lot of coffee, and a lot of cold: that’s NYC!
We arrived Sunday night, and our first stop was to eat Grimaldi’s pizza in Brooklyn (so good). Monday we woke up early to go to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum (so powerful and definitely worth a visit) and raced to grab our ferry to the Statue of Liberty. After recharging our phones and our bodies with caffeine at Starbucks, we walked through Times Square (so crazy) and met up with Whitney’s cousin for dinner.
