Our road trip finally ended in good ol’ Austin, Texas. Much to my dismay, I hardly took any photos there (some rain and poor lighting at evening dinners). I’m also still pretty self-conscious about asking people to take or be in photos (I know, STILL?!). I’ll need to get over that eventually. I snapped some more at Zilker Park and on my waterproof camera, but I’ll need to finish those rolls before developing.
For our four nights and three days stay, we were very busy. I made an itinerary (because I’m crazy like that), and we packed everything in. Dinner and trivia at Gourdough’s, kayaking at Barton Springs, margarita happy hour, dinner with my mom at Contigo, shopping with my mom (I’ve missed you, Langford Market), a movie (22 Jump Street) and shakes at Alamo Drafthouse, Chinese dinner and breakfast with Whitney’s family, walking South Congress, playtime at Zilker with Kip, dinner at Hula Hut, and dessert and coffee at Mozart’s. And I didn’t get photos of most of that – darn it! At least I got to just enjoy the experiences, but hey, friends, y’all can take pictures sometimes too ya know. ;p
We didn’t get to order Tiff’s Treats or eat snow cones or play putt-putt or go dancing downtown, but we had a lot of fun. We really miss all of our friends and family back home (though I do not miss the humidity and mosquitoes). Austin will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤
