I was first introduced to ladder ball a couple of months ago when we took a beach trip with friends. I had never played before and really enjoyed it (plus, we won ;p)! My husband is not one who really enjoys just napping on the beach, so this is a game we can both agree on getting up and playing. Though we did make this ourselves, this post isn’t going to be a tutorial as honestly, it’s a lot cheaper to just buy one ($20 at Target!). But, my husband insisted that we make one, and we had fun putting this together (and painting them UT colors…again, at my husband’s insistence). If you’ve never played before, it’s a lot of fun to play at the beach, at a barbecue, or really anywhere outdoors with some space. The general gist of the game is you toss a string with a ball attached at each end (we used golf balls) at the ladder, and whichever rung it wraps around determines the amount of points you get. We played with our niece a couple of weekends ago, and she loved it too!
This game will be perfect for summer, and my husband already has plans to make a Cornhole game!
