I’m embarrassed to say it, but we hadn’t taken Kipling to the beach since last summer. Well, a few weekends ago we remedied that…even if we were only there for an hour. With the early sunset, we didn’t have much time before it got dark and too cold to withstand anymore. Of course, Kipling had a great time (even if we did lose her brand new Frisbee and Christmas gift). Whitney raced out into the waves to retrieve it, but alas, it was too late.
Please excuse this particular book excerpt…it comes off badly, but the book itself does not promote any ill feelings.

Just stumbled over here (via Blog a la Cart) and am glad I did– I’m moving to LA from Boston in two short weeks (!) and this makes me so, so excited. For me and for my dogs!
I’m so glad! I’m from Texas, and though I miss it, I do love living here in LA (you just have to accept the traffic, haha). There really is something here for everyone and just so much to do in California (everything is just a car ride away). Plus, nothing can beat the perfect weather every.single.day. I’ve written a lot about our adventures our first year here, so feel free to browse my archives for some ideas :). Good luck with your move!
P.S. The dog beach is at Huntington Beach (I think there’s another beach north of LA that allows dogs as well), a beautiful dog park up Laurel Canyon, and an off leash section at Runyon Canyon.
