It always makes me so sad to see all of the Christmas trees outside on the curb, but alas, whether I like it or not, Christmas is over. We took down all of our decorations the other day, and it does feel kind of nice to have a cleaner, less cluttered apartment. Anyway, I was going to wait until I gathered Christmas photos from my husband’s family (I usually don’t take many because they always have their cameras out), but I figured that might take a while…and I don’t want to be blogging about Christmas come March.
We spent some time in south Texas to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Then we had a belated celebration with my family in Houston. We got to see a lot of family and friends, eat some good food, and see a couple of movies. Our time home is never long enough, but it does feel good to be settling back into our apartment in LA.
I’ve been eating vegetarian (pescatarian occasionally) since March (so over 9 months). For numerous reasons, I decided to take a break from not eating meat during our Christmas vacation. I won’t go into that now, but I just wanted to leave that little side note before you see a photo of a turkey below.
My husband’s side of the family does their big Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.
We got the kids marshmallow shooters for Christmas, and thankfully, they loved them!
Christmas morning.
Here are some more photos of our time in Houston prepping another Christmas dinner.
Tomorrow I’ll share our New Year’s Eve photos!
