christmas at home

This year we had three Christmases: one just the two three of us in California, one with my husband’s side of the family, and one with mine. It’s difficult not being able to spend the actual holiday with everyone, but it’s great having the celebrations extend for several days. I love watching people open the gifts I give them, and it was so nice getting some of the things on my wishlist as well. I’m so thankful that we were able to spend the holidays with family, and though it’s trickier to plan celebrations with everyone (what with living across the country and all), I’m so glad we’re able to make it work. I didn’t get a lot of photos with Whitney’s family, so I’m waiting to get copies of those before I post about them here.

We flew to Houston the day after Christmas to spend a few days with my family. It’s always so nice to be “home”, and it’s always so hard to leave my mama by the end of it. But I’m grateful for the time we do have together.

Have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve!
