Can you believe Christmas is just a short two days away? I always lament the ending of the season, so I’m going to relish in all of the Christmas cheer these next few days. One thing that has made me happy every day this season is our Christmas tree. I think I’ve discovered it’s just about my favorite thing in the world right now. Here are some photos I’ve taken of it over the past few weeks. It is filled with ornaments from our travels (we try to pick up a new ornament at every place we visit), as well as some thrifted, purchased, and homemade ornaments. I’m loving our collection, and I’m going to love watching it grow over the years, especially once we have children. I’m also hoping to bring back to California some of our childhood ornaments that our parents have been holding onto. I love trees with a variety of ornaments, each with its own history and story. So yes, I’m obsessed with Christmas trees, and I’m not ashamed of it.
We’ve done a little rearranging of the ornaments, since Kipling was a little too keen of some of them (like the pine cones).
Whitney’s favorite ornament from our honeymoon trip to northern California.
This ornament was just too good to pass up…from none other than Target.
A sleigh from our trip to Big Bear.
I love giraffes…from our visit to the San Diego Zoo.
Where our hearts will always be.
We used a blanket (passed down from my mother) as our tree skirt this year.
Can you spot the new tree topper Whitney made? 😉
Again, in love. We’ll also be getting a real tree every year (if I have anything to say about it).
