I’ve been itching to decorate for the fall without having to spend any money. As I was browsing Instagram the other day, I came across some inspiration for a fall banner. Luckily, I was able to scrap together supplies I already had at home to put this together one afternoon. It was super easy to make and cost me zero dollars. That’s what I call a win, win.
I had a box of thank you cards that were the perfect shape for the banner. I cut each thank you card along the fold to create two cards.
Then I spray painted each card with black chalkboard paint.
I strung the cards on twine with miniature black clothespins, hot glued a few silk leaves on (that I had leftover from my wreath project), and wrote a letter on each card with chalk to spell out “HAPPY FALL”.
Easy, huh?
I love the simplicity of it and the sweet touch it gives to our door. How do you decorate for fall and the holiday season? I’m always looking for inspiration! 🙂
