One of the best parts about our trip was where we stayed: a little house in the woods. Besides having a nice, king-sized bed to sleep in and being right near the lake, we had a great kitchen and backyard patio for cooking and grilling. We made a trip to the grocery store and stocked up on vegetables to grill kebobs and eat by candlelight in the backyard with a glass of wine. It was so fun preparing our meal together and sitting under the stars. I cannot wait until we have a backyard some day because dinners outside are going to be very frequent.
We also bought some break-and-bake cookie dough and vanilla ice cream for dessert because…you can’t forget dessert.
Kipling always wanting to help in the kitchen.
Kipling loved loved loved romping around outside. She was having the time of her life.
Have I told you how much I loved grilled onions? Love them.
Bruschetta is so good and so easy to make. We’re going to have to make this a thing at home.
Obsessed with dinners outside by candlelight. Obsessed.
Friends, food, and a perfectly cool night outdoors…what more could you ask for?
I’ll be back with one more post about our trip. Seriously, let us go back already.
