I’ve been interested in photography since high school, but I didn’t pick up my first DSLR until college. And I didn’t start to actively use photography for more than photos with friends until after I graduated. I’m working on putting together a book of my photography work and came across some old photos I took in my early days of photography. I used to make my cousins model for me (okay, sometimes they wanted to), so I could practice. I had a bunch of fun, and it allowed me to start learning about angles, lighting, and posing. These were all taken on a point and shoot camera, and for whatever reason, are unfortunately saved at a super low resolution (hence the small sizing in this post). I know I’m missing photos from one “photoshoot” we did in particular, so I’ll have to keep searching for them. But without further ado, enjoy these photos I took during the summer of 2008 (wow, five years ago!). It was fun walking down memory lane a bit. 🙂
P.S. As you can imagine, my “little” cousins are a whole lot older now. 😦
It’s neat to see how I’ve grown as a photographer over the years. You learn every day!
