My husband is not one to go shopping, so this past weekend when he actually seemed up for it, I jumped at the chance! We have both been steadily getting rid of clothes that don’t fit, are damaged in some way, or that we just never wear. Because of this, both of our wardrobes have been dwindling, so we are trying to build them back up. This past weekend we did some shopping at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, as well as at The Grove with Barbara (all those “back to school” sales!). I was going to bring out the ol’ tripod and shoot some photos of me wearing my new pieces, but a necessary component appears to be missing (wah wah). So here is the new clothing I purchased over the weekend (excluding a couple of solid colored tees I got for auditioning).
This dress is from Topshop. It was my first time shopping here, and though it’s a bit pricey, I love the clothing. I was so excited to find this dress on the sale rack!
Another dress…this one from Gap (and I got it 40% off!). I used to only buy dresses, so I forced myself to refrain from any dress purchases for a long while. I think it’s okay I start it back up again.
This outfit is from Urban Outfitters, a store I hadn’t stepped into for a long time. It’s usually out of my price range, but the shorts were on sale, and I am in love with the top. Along with everything else in the store.
I still want to hit up some flea markets because I love when you’re able to find that perfect item. In fact, many of the items I wear daily were all thrifted. Most of my “jackets” (jean jacket, leather jacket, Rachel Zoe coat, and blazer) are all thrifted, as well as a few other treasured pieces of mine. We’ll see if I can convince Whitney to hit one up in the coming weekends. 😉
