Summer 2013 Bucket List
1. Trip to Disneyland √
2. Finish reading four books (1/4)
Started reading this book for my virtual book club and am already intrigued! Usually it takes me a while to get into a book, so I’m pleasantly surprised.

22. Eat breakfast (in progress)
With the holiday, a friend in town, and a camping trip, our diet was not exactly the best last week. It’s nice to be home and back to normal.
23. Plant basil and parsley
24. Scour a flea market
25. Find a great Mexican restaurant & margarita
26. Take more photos with my DSLR (in progress)
27. Finish my scrapbook √
28. Meet new friends √
29. Visit a new dog park
30. Hang out at a pool √
Since I’m not a huge fan of actually swimming, and this item is on my bucket list for the relaxation of lounging by a pool, I’ll count this one as checked off (from our time at the Fourth of July party). It was more fun watching my nieces swim and jump in the pool anyway. If I’m able to check this item off again, so be it!
31. Eat a snowcone
32. Mail letters/postcards √
33. Bake a cake √
34. Try a new recipe √
I told you I’d make another new recipe! I found this “Quinoa and Vegetable Salad” recipe here. It’s super easy to make and really yummy (I used “regular” quinoa I had on hand, instead of the red)! I have a feeling I’ll see a lot of this meal in the future. Thanks Rebeca for the “Oh She Glows” recommendation!
35. Be outside as much as possible (in progress)
This past week has been about getting back into the swing of work and errands after our holiday week last week. I filled out the paperwork to officially sign with my agent, cleaned up the apartment after Sonny’s visit and our camping trip, did necessary errands like get a car wash and grocery shop, and was a nanny for some super adorable kids. I spent a lot of time this week going through and editing all the photos I took (the plethora of photos you saw in my posts were already heavily narrowed down). I also sent off a couple of postcards from our trip and have been loving getting letters back in the mail. This weekend we will be tackling the rest of our china cabinet, as well as (hopefully) going on that bike ride. I can’t believe July is already flying by!
P.S. Check out my past updates…
