the happiest place on earth

I had other posts lined up, but I just couldn’t wait to share our trip to Disneyland! This was our first trip together, and Whitney’s first trip in about 10 years! We woke up bright and early to arrive at the park right when it opened at 8am (where we were miraculously given free parking), and I’m so glad we did. We really worked the whole fast pass system and got to ride every major ride we wanted to (Space Mountain twice!). The park got drastically more crowded come around 10-11am, so we were just happy to have caught the best rides early in the day. I’m not exaggerating when I say we virtually stood in no lines…we literally just walked onto Space Mountain, Pirates, and Haunted Mansion rides. Needless to say, it was great Disneyland trip! We ate to our hearts content (churros, Dole pineapple whip, chocolate bananas, popcorn), but hey, that’s what a day at Disneyland is for, isn’t it? We ended up staying the entire day to catch the Fantasmic! show over the water at night, which is always worth it. It was a long day, and we knocked out as soon as we got home, but I’m so glad we were finally able to make a trip together and enjoy the Magic of Disney!

P.S. All of these photos were taken with my phone.

We got lucky to happen upon Mickey Mouse right as we got inside the park (instead of having to wait hours to see him inside his “house”).

Before the throngs of people arrived (except that cute baby).

Yep, this is who I’m married to.

I was so excited to run into all of the Alice characters (if you can’t tell by my ensemble). No lines for photos either!

Whitney’s idea.

Scared to go inside the Haunted Mansion!

On our Jungle Cruise.

Lunch in New Orleans Square. Whitney had red beans and rice with sausage, and I had corn chowder in a bread bowl. Yum.

Haha, so glad the person taking our photo got the whole “Kodak Picture Spot” sign in this…

Short story short: he’s not a king.

Always. ❤

Taking a break in the sunshine.

This was honestly the longest line we waited in…to get this Dole pineapple whip.
