flea market finds

I mentioned before that we made a trip to the Melrose Trading Post this past Sunday. It was only our second trip to this particular flea market, but I’m loving it. Admission is $2, but if you print off their coupon under “Customer Connection”, it only costs a buck (yes, this is how frugal we are)! It’s big, without being overwhelming (like the Rose Bowl flea market), and it is held every single Sunday, rain or shine. I came home with a $10 dress and a jean jacket (that I have been wanting for months). They also have a food court area, where both times I’ve gotten a yummy vegetarian crepe.

Anyway, Wednesday night Whitney and I went to see the Facebook improv show at UCB (which, by the way, hilarious…go see it!). Though I spent all day at home cleaning, I decided to dress up in my new finds to attend the show. I was going to pick Whitney up from work and head straight to the show from there, so I decided to snap some photos of my outfit beforehand. Now, I am not a self-portrait person, but I thought I might as well try my hand at it. Whitney did buy me a tripod a couple of years ago that I haven’t been able to use much, so I pulled it out to get some shots in our bedroom. Kipling decided to join me and wasn’t quite sure what to make of the beeping from the self-timer.

This last one is blurry and out of focus, but I just had to include it. Kipling got excited from the beeping noise and jumped up on me. Crazy girl.

I did throw on some purple tights and salmon colored flats for the show since we would be standing outside in line, and it was a bit chilly. Next time I may wear a belt as well, so my waist will be more accentuated.

Well, I’m off to get ready to get my new headshots taken today…pretty excited about it! Have a wonderful weekend!
