I am super excited to announce that I have finally joined the world of smart phones! I know, I can’t believe it myself that I have been so far behind. But my husband promised me that once we were married and he started working, he would pay for me to finally get one (because honestly, with pursuing acting and living in LA, I will need one to have handy access to email and GPS). I convinced him to let it be a Christmas present (since he won’t start work until February), and he agreed. I had my heart set on the iPhone 5, but we came across a Black Friday deal at Sam’s Club…96 cents for the new Samsung Galaxy S III (normally $200). It was a deal too good to pass up, so I am now a proud owner of a smart phone (the best part was we didn’t have to camp out or race through a mob of people…they still had a few left on Saturday, which is when we actually found out about it)! I was not expecting to get one over the Thanksgiving holiday, so it was a very unexpected and happy surprise. And now, since the phone was virtually free, he is getting me a Kelly Moore camera bag for my Christmas gift (I actually ordered it yesterday, haha, to get her Cyber Monday deal-$25 off…is this how awesome married life is?!).
As you may suspect, I have been busily playing with my new gadget over the past few days. I have obviously never had a smart phone, and I’ve rarely used others’, so it’s taking me a bit to get adjusted. I’ve also been going camera and instagram crazy (because guys, I was so excited about this app!). Thus, I have decided to try to do a weekly wrap-up on Wednesdays of my instagram photos.
Playing Candy Land with the kiddos during dessert night with family the day after Thanksgiving.

Enjoying some Texas BBQ at Poke-E-Jo’s (the caterer for our wedding) before our move to LA.

Playing around with my new photo editing app, Pixlr Express. I took this photo in August.
Still playing around with the app. I took this headshot of beautiful Danielle in June.
Enjoying some Tuesday night television with Kipling and Christmas lights, two of my favorite things.
