If gathering with friends and family and filling your stomach until it’s about to bust doesn’t make you happy, I don’t know what will! So besides Thanksgiving (which I’ll talk about later), here are some things that have made me happy this past week.
Using our crock pot for the first time to make this red beans (and sausage) and rice recipe. It’s hard to find a better feeling than arriving home after a long day of work to an already cooked (and hot) meal. Perfect for these cold nights we’ve been having lately! P.S. One of my resolutions (starting early) is to actually do all the crafts and recipes I pin on Pinterest.
Last weekend was closing weekend for the show I was in, Antigone. Here I am with my “Aunt Eurydice” and “Sister Antigone”. I can’t believe it had been 2 1/2 years since I had done a stage play! So glad I was given this opportunity to work on an Austin stage again (with such a talented cast and crew) before the move to LA.
Succulents on our kitchen windowsill. 🙂 Through the wedding planning process, I fell in love with and became really inspired by succulents. The left is from our wedding (we placed it in the pot), and the right was given to me by my friend for my birthday. I’m assuming they are still alive, haha.
Homemade pumpkin bread to bring home to my in-laws. 🙂 So moist and delicious…great for breakfast or dessert!
Have a great weekend! I hope you survived Black Friday if you decided to venture out. We left at 5:30am this morning to go grab some of the remaining things on our wedding registry from Bed, Bath, & Beyond (20% off entire purchase). There were only about 15 people in line…so nothing too crazy. ;p

I love the way you displayed your pumpkin bread,
Thank you! I kept the leftover supplies from our wedding, so I thought I’d dress the bread up a bit before giving it to my in-laws. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
You’re welcome and I did.
