One of my resolutions (these can come at any time, right?) is to take more photos of the “little things”. So often we go through life not noticing or appreciating the details that make life worth living (sorry for the cheesiness). But it’s true. The thing I love most about blogging is that it pushes me to appreciate every occurrence in my life, not just the big ones. It’s hard to always lug a DSLR around, but it’s always worth it in the end. So I am going to actively try to carry my camera with me as often as possible to capture the small moments that may have otherwise gone unnoticed or unappreciated. We always have our camera out for the holidays (and, you know, weddings), but there are way more things that happen in the “in between”.
Here are some photos of my walk with Kipling the other day. The weather was chilly and the sky white, and it was making me even more excited for the holiday season (if that is ever possible). The colors of the trees and the atmosphere outside was just so inviting and comforting…made me want to cozy up in my PJs with my dog and my husband after popping a batch of cookies in the oven. But don’t worry, that will happen soon enough. I can’t wait until we are in a more permanent home, and I can start investing in my own fall decorations! 🙂
I am IN LOVE with this blush color and of course, with my baby girl.
I thought this stop sign was funny, and I love checking out the design and architecture of all the cute houses in our neighborhood. I can’t wait until we own a home ourselves someday. 🙂
Are you ready for Halloween? No costumes or parties for us this year…life just got in the way. But we did carve pumpkins (see my friend Jessie’s above!), and I made some homemade pumpkin bread, that might I say, was delicious. The family I nanny for has a huge bowl of candy on their counter that will keep me more than satisfied, and maybe we can rent a Halloween movie to watch while waiting for trick-or-treaters (if they hopefully come around this year!).
