If you live in the South, you can probably relate to the lack of seasons we have in Texas. Basically we have winter 25% of the year and summer the other 75%. So though I’d like to say I’ve been having some spring time fun, I know the perfect weather won’t be here for long. Austin is one of the best cities to take advantage of the great outdoors (when you can bare the heat that is). But thankfully, we have yet to reach into the 3 digit temperatures, so I have been trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible (including getting back on my running regimen…I can run about twice as far as I could than when I started!). One weekend we decided to spend the day at Zilker Park. And though it was insanely crowded, and we couldn’t actually play sand volleyball because of a tournament (our original purpose in going), we managed to have a great day in the sunshine: friends kicked around a soccer ball and drank some beer, while I mostly chaperoned Kipling around the park as she greeted people and played with other dogs. To top the day off, we stopped for some refreshing and delicious snow cones on our way home!
(Again, no DSLR for these photos)
