you could miss it

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller

As I get older, I realize more and more how astoundingly true that statement is. Not only does life move rapidly, but it seems to move quicker and quicker as the years pass. It doesn’t help that people, including myself, are always looking forward to something: the weekend, the holidays, a vacation, a birthday party, saving enough money to buy that new car/house/pet/pair of shoes. I will be the first to admit I am guilty of this daily. Instead of appreciating each day for what it is, and taking life one day at a time, I am always looking forward to something else happening. Life is too short not to appreciate every moment, and I want to work actively towards doing so. It has already been 4 months since I last blogged, 4 months since I got engaged, a year since Kipling was born, almost 2 years since I graduated college, etc. etc. ย Where has the time gone?! I’m getting married in less than 9 months, Whitney will be graduating in December, and we’ll be packing up our lives and moving out West. There is a lot in store for us this coming year (including a lot of stress), but I want to enjoy every moment of it and not try to race to the end. I want to keep up with this blog as well, because as silly as it may seem, it does help me appreciate the little things. It helps me keep track of my days, as well as forces me to take more photos (something I always want to do more of). Feel free to subscribe as well, and perhaps that will give me a little boost of motivation. ๐Ÿ˜‰
