the last of the fourth

I know the 4th of July weekend has passed, but I’ve just had so much to share with you from my time spent at home. This holiday is great, not only because we get to celebrate the birth of our independent nation, but because we get to celebrate in a style that encompasses everything I love about summer. We get to spend time with family, grill hotdogs outside, cool off in the pool (or lake), eat, and just relax. I was especially happy to spend time with my oldest niece, whom I don’t get to see often enough. I loved seeing her interact with Kipling as well.

Two little girls cuddling.
As you can see, there was a lot of napping involved during this weekend.
On our way to Michael's. Sometimes I take too many pictures.
Goofing off at Michael's.
Delicious root beer floats. Perfect on a hot summer day.
My sister actually took this photo of my boyfriend, but I love the dramatic lighting of it.

Honestly, this is the last I will share with you about the 4th of July (…until next year). I mostly wanted to share these photos that I love and encapsulate my time spent with family.
