Tuesday I made my first trip to Whole Foods. Ever. I know it’s sad. Whitney got a gift card to Whole Foods for graduation, so we had some money to spend! We decided to eat dinner before we shopped, and I have to admit, I was very overwhelmed. Though the concept is neat, with labels next to every food tray of all the ingredients, there is no direction! I wasn’t amazed by my meal, but I tried to get out of my comfort zone and try some new foods. While shopping we picked up some Texas Brush Honey, some olive oil with garlic, balsamic vinegar, natural strawberry and mango lemonade, and I’ll save the best for last: an apple dipped in caramel and chocolate and completely covered with chocolate chips and white chocolate drizzle. It was so rich and delicious, I couldn’t eat more than 2 pieces.
I didn’t lug my DSLR with me to Whole Foods, so these point and shoot snapshots will have to work for now.
I was planning on baking some pumpkin bread this week, but I have some ripening bananas in my kitchen that are screaming to be mashed. Maybe next time I’ll share with you my banana bread recipe! It is very simple, but there are people who are scared of baking bread for some reason. ;p
