walkin’ on sunshine

This weekend I was finally awarded the sunshine I’ve been craving. But perhaps I should have listened to the old adage, “Be careful what you wish for.” I was able to make my first UT baseball game of the season, and boy did I pay for it. I disregarded the fact that it was midday, and the sun was straight above us. I now have tomato red legs and arms to show for it (always, ALWAYS wear sunscreen. Your body will thank you for it tomorrow…and twenty years from now).

This photo doesn’t do the sunburn justice, but I am loving the color of my new flats from H&M…though my ankles are still suffering while trying to break them in.

Needless to say, this has been my best friend the past couple of days:

My weekend gave me just a taste of summer, and I want more!

My new, perfectly summery Lucky purse my mother bought me for a third of the original price! I can tote every summer essential I’ll need with me and still adhere to the Austin style.
Kipling enjoyed lounging in the shade while we played volleyball, stuffing her face and paws into her cold water bowl.
Nobody was able to focus my DSLR correctly, so this is the best we got. My sister and me at the game.
A little cool-off, downtime is required indoors to escape the Texas heat. My boyfriend and his 6 (yes, six) roommates can’t get enough of playing “42” with dominos.
